Mr Burge has been director and chairman since incorporation of the company. Mr Burge has owned and operated retail stores since 1968. During that time he also served on the board of QIW Ltd for 12 years, including 10 years as chairman. Mr Burge has obtained a Diploma from the University of New England in Company Directorship, and was a Fellow on the Institute of Company Directors. Mr Burge currently owns and operated the Foodworks at Loganholme and opened a Foodworks store at Woodridge in October 2005. |

Peter commenced his career in Fruit and Vegetables at the young age of 15 as a labourer in the Brisbane Market. At 18 he was operating his own fruit shop in Tarragindi. He then ventured into the Fruit and Vegetable wholesale business supplying a major restaurant chain. He then stepped into the big time for the next 15 years operating a wholesale Fruit and Vegetable and transport business in north west NSW which supplied Woolworths, Coles and Independent Fruit Markets. In the late 1980’s Peter returned to South East Queensland to own and operate a large Fruit and Vegetable market on the Gold Coast. In 1999, Peter joined Independent Produce Professionals as a fruit buyer and in 2007 became the Managing Director. |

Mr Walsh has been a company secretary since incorporation of the company, and a director since 10 October 1999. Mr Walsh started his retailing career as trainee manager at Coles Myer, where he worked up to management grade after 6 years. Mr Walsh’s retailing experience is varied as he purchased an ran 4 video stores on the Gold Coast for 6 years after leaving Coles Myer. Mr Walsh then ran the 7-11 Ashmore store for 4 years before setting up the SPAR Nerang store. Mr Walsh ran the SPAR Nerang store for 5 years before selling it. Mr Walsh opened a Foodworks store at Hervey Bay in October 2002 and sold it in November 2005. Mr Walsh is not currently in the retail business. |

Mr Whitten worked for Coles for 12 years, during which time he became Fruit and Vegetable District Supervisor before he and his family purchased his first independent store in Canberra. Mr Whitten operated this store for 6 years before selling it and another store that he had acquired and moved into Queensland in 1987. Upon his arrival in Queensland, Mr Whitten purchased supermarkets at Browns Plains and Daisy Hill. He was also the Deputy Chairman of SPAR Ltd during 1998/99. He then opened and operated the SPAR Bellbowrie store until August 2001. In July 2000 he purchased the 5 star Lowood store. In October 2005 this store was relocated to new purpose built premises and re-branded SPAR Lowood. |
